Web Scraper extension not showing in Developer Tools

If the Web Scraper tab is missing from browser Developer Tools, first confirm that the extension is installed and enabled, then reopen Developer Tools on a regular website.

Open Web Scraper in Developer Tools

  1. Open the website you want to scrape.
  2. Open browser Developer Tools:
    • Windows or Linux: Ctrl+Shift+I   or F12  
    • Mac: Cmd+Opt+I  
  3. Look for the Web Scraper tab in the Developer Tools tab bar.
  4. If it is not visible, check the additional tabs menu in Developer Tools.

If the Web Scraper tab is still missing

  1. Confirm that the Web Scraper browser extension is installed and enabled.
  2. Close Developer Tools and open it again.
  3. Refresh the website and check again.
  4. If necessary, restart the browser.

Make sure you are testing on a normal website rather than a browser settings page, extension page, or other internal browser page.

Sitemap Wizard opens instead

Clicking the Web Scraper icon in the browser toolbar opens the Sitemap Wizard. The Advanced Sitemap Builder is opened separately from the Web Scraper tab in Developer Tools.

If the extension is installed and enabled but the Web Scraper tab still does not appear after restarting the browser, contact Web Scraper Support.
